Infrastructure represents the backbone of a local economy. Without fluid transportation systems into and out of a local economy, the utilities to provide the energy and other resources necessary for business operations, the support systems to maintain and operate the physical assets of infrastructure, and the governance to keep things running smoothly, it is difficult for a local economy to grow and prosper.
