Palm oil prices rose on average in April. However, they dropped through month-end on sluggish demand and shipments. Prices averaged USD 1,023 per metric ton in April, which was 2.0% higher than March’s price. Meanwhile, the price of palm oil was down 39.9% from the same month last year. Palm oil traded at USD 980 per metric ton on 28 April, which was down 4.4% from the same day of the previous month.
